Construction Department

General Information

The purpose of the Construction Department is to insure all construction is consistent with nationally recognized standards. Codes insure that construction is consistent with reasonable requirements for the health, safety, and welfare of occupants or users of buildings and structures. The enforcement staff is state licensed, employed by the township, but funded by permit fees and not tax dollars. The level of enforcement is also a factor used by insurers in determining rates for commercial and homeowner property insurance.

Public Hours For Construction Officials

• The Inspectors and the Construction Official are at the Municipal Building on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

• To set up an appointment to meet with an Inspector or Construction Official Please call Erin McFadden at 856-461-0561 ext 261.

Inspection Information

• Inspections are conducted by appointment only on Monday and Wednesday afternoons between the hours of 2:00PM and 4:00PM and the inspector will need access to the building for interior inspections.
  

• To set up an appointment for an Inspection please email [email protected] or call Erin McFadden at 856-461-0561 ext 261, 24 hours in advance.  Have the following information available: Permit Number, Name, Phone Number, Property Address and Type of Inspection.

 UCC Permit Forms 

UCC Permit multi-part forms may be obtained at the Municipal Building, 770 Coopertown Road, Delanco. Monday-Thursday 8:30am to 4:00pm, Friday 8:30am-12:30pm.  You may also obtain forms online from the NJ Department of Community Affairs, click here for the website.
