After an inspection of the basketball equipment at the Babe Ruth Field on Cooper Street, the Recreation Commission found some safety concerns which we wanted to check out.  We brought in an expert from Ben Shafer and Associates who confirmed that we had some real concerns.  After much discussion, we concluded that the best option was to get rid of the old and replace with new equipment.  We also installed padding around the poles for added safety!  The installation was finished on August 15, 2007.
