It’s Utility Assistance Week: Get Help Paying Your Utility Bill
(NEWARK, N.J. – April 17, 2023) PSE&G is partnering with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities to promote Utility Assistance Week (April 17 – 21) to raise awareness about the valuable resources and programs for customers to help them pay their utility bills (electric, gas, water and sewer).
PSE&G is working hard to spread the word about energy assistance programs that continue to be available for customers who are struggling. The Winter Termination Program has ended and PSE&G has resumed shutting off service to customers who have not paid a delinquent balance or agreed to a payment plan.
Payment assistance programs include:
- Universal Service Fund (USF) and Fresh Start Program (FSP)
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
- Payment Assistance Gas and Electric (PAGE)
- NJ SHARES (NJS)
- NJ Lifeline
These programs can help you catch up on your payments, or make your bill more affordable, even if you are not currently behind. Programs have expanded to include many more customers at higher income levels. For more information about programs to help you pay your energy bill, including income eligibility limits, visit pseg.com/help or download this program flyer.
PSE&G also offers deferred payment arrangements (DPAs). If you’re behind on your bill, a DPA allows you to pay your past-due balance over an agreed upon period of time. To make a payment arrangement, visit pseg.com/MyAccount or call 800-357-2262.
