AN ADDITIONAL TAX BILL HAS BEEN MAILED ON 12/27/22 FOR THE 1ST AND 2ND QUARTERS OF 2023. THESE BILLS ARE BASED ON A SCHOOL DISTRICT BALLOT QUESTION THAT WAS PASSED DURING THE NOVEMBER ELECTION. THESE BILLS ARE IN ADDITION TO YOUR ORIGINAL TAX BILL, AND WILL BE INCLUDED IN YOUR 1ST AND 2ND QUARTER TAXES OF 2023. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID YOUR 1ST AND/OR 2ND QUARTER BILLS FOR 2023 THESE BILLS WILL NEED TO BE PAID. IF YOU HAVE MORTGAGE COMPANY THESE BILLS WILL BE SENT TO YOUR MORTGAGE COMPANY.

Separate Proposal

Resolved, that there should be raised an additional $75,198 for General Funds in the 2022-23 school year. These taxes will be used exclusively for the hiring of a grant writer and the reinstatement of extracurricular activities/athletics (Safety Patrol, Boys Baseball, 8th Grade Advisor, Girls’ Softball, Middle School Newspaper, and IMPACT Club) and extracurricular/athletics related items such as transportation and supplies. Approval of these taxes will result in a permanent increase in the district’s tax levy. These proposed additional expenditures are in addition to those necessary to achieve the New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
