Beginning July 16, 2022, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, a new three-digit suicide prevention hotline will be available nationwide. Anyone experiencing a mental health crisis may contact 988. (This number replaces the previous 10-digit National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Please note, 988 does not replace 911 if there is an emergency. It simply provides an outlet for those that are seeking a starting point to get help and/or unable to seek an in-person counselor due to staffing shortages.
