Delanco Shade Tree Commission has harvested acorns from the Chestnut Oak trees growing at the former site of the Methodist Church Camp in South Jersey.  The acrons have been potted and DSTC is looking for residents to "foster" the potted oaks in their yard.  This variety of oak, once common across South Jersey, is losing its habitat--a loss felt by wildlife and beneficial insect hosts in our region--and the trees will be of great value to our town as they grow and mature.  Click here for more information.
