New Jersey American Water has informed the township that during a scheduled project this morning, Friday, November 8th, a valve failed causing the water to be shut off in the areas of Union Avenue, Franklin & Buttonwood Streets.  The utility expects full service to be restored later this afternoon.  Should the water need to be temporarily shut off due to additional repair work, they will notify residents.
