EAB: What You Can Do: "Green Tips" and "Green Facts"

 Green Tips:

  • Check out your bathroom.  Use low-flow faucets, showerheads, and toilets.
  • Limit the length of your shower.  Even better, take a "navy shower", shutting off the water while soaping up and shampooing.
  • Don't run the water when brushing your teeth.
  • Do full loads of laundry and set the rinse cycle to "cold".

 Green Fact:

A leaky faucet can waste up to 20 gallons of water per day, and a leaking toilet can waste up to 200 gallons a day.  A family of four using low-flow showerheads instead of full-flow models can save about 20,000 gallons of water per year.

Delanco's DROP Bags Program

Miranda Pawline, a Delanco resident and NJ Pre Teen Sweetheart, has implemented the DROP (Delanco Recycles Our Plastic) Bags Program.  There is a container inside of the Municipal Building and the Delanco Public Library where you can drop your used plastic bags to be recycled rather than going to the landfill.  Thanks Miranda!
